A Girls Weekend Away | Glasgow

Last weekend I went away with my best friends to celebrate Robyn & Hayley’s birthday. We always tend to go away together for a night out whenever it’s a birthday, as it’s really the only time we all get together. Unfortunately, Stephanie couldn’t make it, but she was there in spirit!

We’ve all been best friends since high school, and I honestly feel lucky that to this day we are all still the best of friends! So, weekends like this I really look forward to, as we can get dressed up and drink as many cocktails as possible.

For pre drinks and a lunch we went to the Hard Rock Cafe which I’ve actually never been to before. We bought nachos to share and cocktails. I had a mojito which was the best one I think I’ve ever had, and I’m not to sure what the girls had.. sorry. I mean, look how gorgeous they look!?

After the girls went to Benefit to get their makeup done, and I done mine at the hotel (I’m a little fussy when it comes to makeup), we met up and went to a bar called Driftwood. We had seen on Facebook that they were doing Disney cocktails which launched that day, so we went along to try out different cocktails. I went for a french martini, Under the sea and finished off with venoms. Now, if you haven’t tried a venom you are seriously missing out! They are absolutely gorgeous, and even though they are green and look a little off putting, I can promise you they are good! Where I live they are £8 for a pint but in Driftwood a pint was £5 so we definitely took advantage of that!

At 8pm after our many cocktails, we headed back to the hotel to get ready for the night ahead. Myself, Ashley and Megan found that taking pictures in the bathroom was the best as it had a marble backdrop, so we were standing in the bath taking photos, as you do!  We even had the torch on our phones on with someone holding it over us for better lightening, now that’s true friendship, haha! I felt like all we were saying at one point was ‘look at that lightening’ and ‘ look at the marble though’.

I had a bit of a wardrobe disaster as the dress I ordered hadn’t arrived in time, but I wore my back up dress which is from Boohoo, and shoes are from Missguided!

We first went to Box and then Firewater as it has cheap drinks. It was honestly such a laugh and we drank, sang and danced the night away. You can’t beat a night with your girls! Here are a few snaps from the night.

I have never been to Glasgow before but after reading this I may have to go, it sounds like serious fun! Your Boohoo dress is stunning and all of your make up looks awesome.
