Everyday Smokey Eye | Ultimate Basics Palette

Recently I posted a blog on a the Urban Decay Ultimate Basics Palette, and couldn’t wait to share some of the looks I came up with. This ‘Everyday’ Smokey Eye is my go to right now and thought I’d share with you how to do it. Enjoy!

First of all I want to say, this might be quite dark for some people, so you could also use this as a smokey eye for going out to. I just love a drastic look most the time! Also, I need my eyebrows done, so you know, ignore that to! Aha!

Step 1

I first started by priming my eyes, using the Urban Decay Primer Potion and then going in with the shade ‘Tempted’ applying that to my crease. I then, got the shade ‘Instinct’ which is a dusky pink, and applied that into my crease and to my outer corners, bringing it half way into my lid. I blended this in, so there was no harsh lines.

Step 2

Using the shade ‘Blow’ which is a creamy nude I put that on the inner corners, blending towards the middle of my lid, and blending in both ‘Blow’ and ‘Instinct’ to create a dusky pink smokey eye.

Step 3

Next I got my liquid eyeliner by Maybelline and applied a dramatic cat eye. You could do any type of cat eye flick you wanted, but I went for a bold statement, as who doesn’t love a lot of eyeliner?

Step 4

Going back to my Ultimate Basics Palette I use ‘Instinct’ and apply that to my lower lash line, as this really makes the look stand out, and this dusky pink is simply stunning.

Step 5

I add some pencil eyeliner to finish off my look, you don’t need to use eyeliner, but I think this really compliments the look. You can also add lashes, but I opted out, just since it was a everyday look.

Here is my finished look! I absolutely love this look, and hope you do to! Do you have this palette? Let me know in the comments below what you think!
