This might be a little late as it’s now the 12th of January, but I decided, ‘what the heck’ and going to write this anyway. 2016 has been a year which I branched out and tried a lot of new makeup brands that I’d never normally buy. My top 5 products are high end, but totally worth every penny, and I’d thought I’d share them with you all, so you can get a little inspiration on different products or brands to try!
I have always heard fantastic reviews on MAC foundation, but the price at £22, always put me off. But, on a trip to Glasgow I decided to go into MAC and get matched to my correct shade, and then see how I felt, and I absolutely fell in love with it! It’s so high coverage, not dewy and didn’t make me look caked in makeup, it was such a even coverage that I hardly looked like I had anything on my face at all, I had to buy it! My skin has always been pretty rubbish, but this foundation has changed me, and now hides a bad skin day no bother at all! I might yet find a new foundation I fall in love with, but right now, this is my favourite!
I had my eye on this for so long, and yes maybe the fact it smells of chocolate made me cave and buy this, but I’m so glad I did, as it’s my most used palette I own. Everyone raves about Too Faced products and I jumped late onto the bandwagon as it was last spring I purchased this, but hands down Too Faced are my favourite brand, and I just need everything they release! The shadows are super pigmented, and a great colour pay off and really easy to blend too. It’s also a palette, were you know you will use all the shades, as it has a right good mixture of everything.
This little bottle has been in my life for some time now, and I couldn’t live without! I know there are so many different eye primers out there, but this is always the one I tend to go back to, as I love it so much! I can’t wear eyeshadow without wearing this first, and there’s actually been a time I’ve put on eyeshadow, to take it back off, as I’d forgotten to prime before hand! It makes your eyeshadow last all day, as I feel without using this by the end of the night most my eyeshadow has dulled down, and looks pretty rubbish, but wearing this, makes it looks in perfect condition all day!
This product in 2016 was very popular indeed, and I couldn’t wait to go and buy some! The only problem is, yes, it’s from America so shipping and customs definitely isn’t your bank accounts friend, but wait until it’s free international shipping and get right on it, as they are totally worth the money! My next problem was picking out which shade I wanted, as there was so many gorgeous shades to choose from! I went for the shades ‘Maliboo’ which is a gorgeous dusky brown and ‘Ginger’ which is a deep orange. I am so happy with my choices as they are the perfect shades for me, but just wish I bought more! These are so easy to apply, and super long lasting! I could have meals and drinks and this wouldn’t budge, it’s just that amazing! I’d definitely treat yourself and buy some!
I’ve always been unsure on what brow products to buy, as there are so many great reviews on different things. With Anastasia Beverly Hills being one of my favourite brands, I decided to try their Dip Brow product as so many bloggers/youtubers use it. I’ve not been disappointed with this product at all so far, and it makes me eyebrows look so much better than any product I’ve used before. You use a angled brush to apply this, which unfortunately you don’t get with the pot, but they are really easy to get your hands on! This doesn’t smudge and is really easy to take off! Everyone should go and try this product!
