Seventeen Makeup Review

I recently got sent some gorgeous products by Seventeen makeup. I love testing out products that I’d never normally wear, or pick. I got sent 2 matte lipsticks, a lip palette and a blusher. With everything being a bit hectic from blogmas, I thought I’d finally share with you of what I think of their products, and how I felt about each one.

Mega Matte Lipstick | Lilac A Lot & Rioja Your World | £4.49

This is new to Seventeen, so when I received them I was excited to try them out. The darkest shade ‘Rioja Your World’ is a deep red, which I wasn’t expecting, as it looked more plum to me when I first opened it. It really reminds me of the Kate Moss Rimmel lipstick in the shade ‘107’ as it’s my favourite red lipstick! The other shade, ‘Lilac A Lot’ is a shade I would honestly never pick out, as I am right into my dark purples, not light. This is beautiful though, and I really want to find a makeup look that it works with!

I’d say these are a really hydrating matte lip, as it glided on when I applied, and didn’t feel like any other matte lipstick I’ve worn! I really liked it! I did apply this a few times during the day, but what lipstick don’t you need to apply every few hours? The packaging is a simple black with a faint zig zag design going across half the bottle which is a lovely touch.

All in all, these lipsticks I’d rate a 8/10, which I don’t think is that bad at all!

All Out Pout | Woo Me | Lip Palette | £4.99

Okay, so I have never used one of these, maybe when I was first getting into makeup, but now I just go straight to lipsticks. So, I was so worried I was going to hate this, but I really don’t.

The shades in this palette are

Peach Shimmer

Knockout Red

Glossy Grape

Cool Claret

Candied Coral

Metallic Gold

It comes in a super handy, compact case which you can put in your makeup bag, and have 6 colours to choose from, on the go. These are super pigmented, but I found using a different lip brush helped apply it easier, than the small one that comes with this. Definitely blot when you use these, as it definitely makes a massive impact on the colour.

I give this product a 7/10. I am not fully converted to using this all the time, as I do love my lipsticks, but this is a gorgeous palette, and a fantastic price too at £4.99.

Stamp Blusher | Made You Look | £4.99

Ok I was really excited when this arrived, as I have never used one of these before! This has a mirror on top of the lid, which is actually really handy, and it’s a great size for your makeup bag too. When you open it, the blusher is in the lid, and then the other part is the ‘stamp’ with a round makeup sponge as the applicator.

To add product you push the stamp into the blusher, twist it as you were going to close the product, and then reopen it, and you get a good even coverage on the sponge. Then I just lightly dabbed on, which gave me a lovely rosy look, and I blended it out to finish with a blending brush.

I give this product a 10/10. I absolutely love this, and grabbing this a lot right now to use. I love the colour pay off, and definitely going to be a gorgeous shade for the spring/summer time. A small tip, keep the plastic seal that comes with the blush, so you can reseal it after you use it.

Have you ever tried Seventeen products? What did you think of them? I’d love to hear all about it in the comments below!
