I absolutely love reading ‘What’s in my makeup bag’ posts as it always gives me such inspiration to go out and buy products that people use day to day. So, I thought I’d do a little ‘Winter Edition’ makeup post as the products I use change a lot from winter to summer.
The Makeup Bag
My makeup bag is a Tanya Burr one I received for Christmas which was part of a set. It also had a liquid lipstick, liner and mirror inside. The material of this is incredible, and total wipe proof in case you get any makeup inside or outside of it. Which, lets face it, happens to me a lot! I also love the pink lips on top of the grey, as it really makes it a stand out bag. Unfortunately I can’t find this on any websites now, but you could try Ebay, or Amazon!
My Top 5 Makeup Bag Products..
I absolutely swear by this, and everyone should get this for their eyebrows. I really neglet my eyebrows, which I know I shouldn’t, but I am very lazy when it comes to keeping them neat and tidy. This little pot comes in handy though, and makes them look that little bit better! My friend Kirsty who’s blog is here, introduced me to this, as I asked her if it was worth the hype that came around this product. She also said to get the shade Taupe as we are both blonde and said that, that should match well as it did on herself. I’m not going to lie, I did have a panic when I opened it and noticed how dark it was, but it doesn’t look that dark on at all. I totally recommend this, and don’t forget to buy an angled brush too, to apply this.
Now, I have used this product now for about 3 years, so quite a long time. I totally swear by this, but others don’t, which is totally understandable, but I think they are just a little bit crazy.. yes I’m looking at you Louise! I use this for not only concealer but to define my contour to, and use it under my highlight, and down the bridge of my nose. I always get the lightest shade you can buy, as it does really help out with dark circles under your eyes, and for highlighting purposes. This is a cheap little price to at £4.19.
I absolutely am in love with this bronzer! I actually use a little tester, which I got to see if I’d like it before buying the full sized product, and I just can’t fault this at all. Even my Mum, who isn’t into bronzer, asked me what I had on my face as it gave me a gorgeous colour, and asked if I’d apply it on her.. result! This is just such a beauty of a shade, and doesn’t make you look really orange, which I can find with a lot of bronzers, and that’s with just applying it lightly.
I have been using this liner now for just under a year now, and absolutely love it. I used to use the Kat Von D liner, but as a mad rush to go and buy an alternative one day, I came across this. I really like the felt tip liner pens as I feel they are a lot easier to use, and great for beginners of using liquid liner. I will be however, buying the Kat Von D liner again, as it’s absolutely flawless, but this is great high street alternative and an affordable price too.
Ok, so this is maybe more that my ‘Top 5’ makeup bag products with this being about 4 products in one, but this has been apart of my every day makeup now since I received this for Christmas. I’ve done a blog on this which you can find here. But, this is really a fantastic palette for throwing in your makeup bag, or even handbag for that matter. It’s in the sale at feelunique.com now, and you definitely need to go and check it out.
