Makeup Challenge | Perrie Edwards

For a while now, myself and Kirsty have been wanting to do a collab. Click here for her blog! So, we spent ages trying to work out which would be the best collab for our blogs as we wanted to make it fit into our theme! That’s when we came up with this collab, that I hope many others do as it was so much fun!

The Rules were to go online and pick a photo, and recreate the makeup look. We however wanted it to be challenging and went for looks that weren’t your usual everyday makeup look. I was actually so excited with the one that was picked for me, but I did however have to go out and buy some products to complete this look. But hey, any excuse to buy more makeup right?

Step 1

Step 1 was applying foundation! I used my MAC foundation as it’s the only one with the highest coverage that I own, I usually apply foundation last, but in this case applying it first helped me out, as my skin is really bad right now, so I didn’t have to sit and stare at how bad my skin was! Then I applied Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow to my brows. Perrie has killer eyebrows so even though I definitely couldn’t top that, I tried my best!

Step 2

I then went in with applying Urban Decay primer potion to my eyes and using only one shade ‘Luscious’ from the Too Faced Peach Palette, which has a slight shimmer and really went well with this look, as I could see a slight shimmer with Perrie’s eye look. I then applied the shade ‘fire’ from the NYX Vivid Brights collection which I am loving right now! I bought this especially for this look, and absolutely love it! I applied this quite thick as this is the main feature of this look!

Step 3

Next I went in with black liner. I used the Sketch Marker Liner by Too Faced, which is definitely my favourite to use right now, I applied this just as I did to the previous liner, but not as thick and left out a cat eye flick, as the red liner definitely takes over! Then going back with my red eyeliner I gently applied that to my lower lashes, as Perrie has red lashes which definitely bring this look together!

Step 4

Lashes. I used Maybelline mascara and applied fake lashes, the bold the better as this look Perrie uses some thick lashes! Unfortunately I don’t know what lashes I used as they were lying loose in my makeup drawer, sorry!

Step 5

Next was applying concealer to my under eyes fixing dark circles and blemishes I had. Then I used the Anastasia Beverly Hills contour palette in the shade Medium/Tan which I applied a lot of, as Perrie has killer contour in this look! Lastly, for the face I applied highlight by Sleek from the Cleopatra’s Kiss palette.

Step 6

Lips. I used L’oreal Paris Infallible Nudist Matte Lip Paint in the shade ‘Nude on Fleek’. Now I don’t particularly love these lip paints, but it was the only shade that I could find that resembled a close enough shade, also it says they are matte.. but in this it looks anything but! I did try though!

I hope you enjoyed this look, it’s super easy and I can’t wait to do more looks like it! If you want to do a challenge like this with me, leave a comment below or tweet me at @karinaheartss! I will link Kirsty’s post below when it goes up!
