Sometimes even though you don’t want to, taking a break from something is sometimes a good thing. It gives you time to breathe, think of new ways to fall back in love with whatever your taking a break from and find yourself. All 3 of those things have helped me over the last 2 months or so, as blogging definitely wasn’t my top priority as life kind of just got in the way! Here are the things that have helped me fall back in love with my blog.
Taking a break from blogging was hard, especially when I am so passionate about it, but something wasn’t right. I first had to find out why I wasn’t in love as I was before, and the reason was my content. I didn’t feel like it was interesting, and that pushed me to sit down and plan out blogs from beauty, to lifestyle and fashion. Also, it made me realise that I might take a new direction with blogging which I am still trying to work out myself but pinterest and speaking to Louise and Kirsty (attached their links) was definitely a massive help in this process.
The main factor of it all was my health. I start work at 6 in the morning, which is a pro and con. Pro as I finish early which means more blogging time, but con as I am constantly tired. However, the past 3 months it got to the point where I had to plan when I napped, I was moody and didn’t care if I missed a blogging day as sleeping was more important. That’s when I finally admitted defeat and booked a doctors appointment as I took ill at work, and hopefully I can now find out what is wrong with me and get the medication I need to help me.
Oh fitness, how I hate you so much, but you definitely helped me in the process of finding myself. The thought of fitness sucks, but getting out there and putting on your running shoes and hitting the gym has honestly shown me a new lease in life. It makes me feel so much more alert and also, receiving a fitbit has pushed me to getting in my 10,000 steps a day. I can totally see why people get the fitness bug!
WRITING IN A DIARY
Lastly, writing in a diary has helped me not only find my love of writing again, but also shown me what I had to change in my life. Blogging has always been a top priority, and I can’t wait now to get my thinking cap on, and knuckle down with writing 3 days a week again! Also, Youtube from the end of July is something else that can totally bring me back all motivation, and i’m excited for the journey ahead!
