It’s been a month or so since I’ve last posted. Sometimes a break is what you need, and it’s amazing to be back. A lot has happened in a month since I last sat down and typed away on my blog, so I thought I’d keep everyone up to speed.
We are saving to buy a house!
I now officially feel like an adult. We made the decision 4 weeks ago in fact, to move out of our gorgeous little flat, and move back home. However, we have decided not be apart and move in with Colin’s parents, as we’ve lived together for 2 years, and it would be a little odd. That means no more paying bills, no more worrying about money as much and putting everything we earn straight into savings, instead of savings and a flat. We’ll have so much more freedom, and I am so excited for this next chapter!
I have concentrated more on fitness, and my gym classes, which is something I never thought I’d say! It’s been a massive wake up call, but the wake up call I needed. Deciding to take care of myself not just physically but mentally, was a strange thing for me. I’ve had the routine of work and blog for years, so changing from that to work and the gym was something I never ever thought I’d do! So, now i’ll have to challenge myself with work, blogging and gym, which i am nervous but excited for!
My health was a huge part of the break away. I was still getting tested in May for my heart palpitations, which luckily all results are clear, which is making them now say its anxiety. It’s something I’m definitely adapting to still, as anxiety is a horrible thing to have as it definitely sneaks up on you! As well as that I’ve also taken the leap to get my speech sorted. I’m eventually wanting to say bye to my stutter, so I stopped being stubborn and asked for the help. Let’s hope in a few months time I’ll have it under more control!
Family & Friends
I spent way more time with family and friends. I felt blogging was taking over my life at one point, that I never seen anyone. It was really taking a toll on my life, and I missed lunches out, and night time catch ups with my friends. I also never took that 5 minute drive to see family, and I was soon realising I hadn’t seen anyone in months. I’m now finding a balance of work, blogging and fitness and loving it.
Too many gigs!
From May to June I had 4-5 gigs jam packed within weeks of each other, which meant my money was going on hotels and travel instead of content for blogging. I stopped and enjoyed the moment. No vlogging, just simply watching it with my own eyes and taking in the memories. I had missed that!
So, there you have it. I am back and excited to get back into it head first. Here’s to the planning a head and not leaving blogging until on the day! Let’s see if I can do this..
